Customize the editor

Adjust colors, panel layout, and controls. These settings are separate from your song project.

Open settings

Press SETTINGS or Ctrl + ,. Close the settings window with its top-right ×.

After changing scale or guide visibility, check that note labels and controls remain readable. OMMT uses Japanese when Minecraft is set to Japanese, and English otherwise.

Change colors

In Appearance, choose a base style and adjust color and size controls. Changes are reflected in the editor itself; no separate preview is needed.

Start with background and text brightness. Keep selection colors distinct from part colors. Use the reset-to-base-style control if you want to start over.

Arrange panels

Move and dock panels using their title areas. Resize boundaries to give the library, piano roll, inspector, and control panels enough room.

Enlarge the lower volume panel for mixing, or the inspector for numeric editing. Use the layout reset in settings if the arrangement becomes difficult to restore.

Change keys and wheel actions

Use Keymap to assign editor actions and configure wheel behavior with Shift, Ctrl, or Alt, as well as selection and pan gestures.

The key that opens OMMT is configured in Minecraft’s key bindings, not the editor keymap. See the shortcut reference for defaults.

Share settings

Export an encoded settings string from Sharing and import it in another profile to reuse your setup.

Export your current settings before importing someone else’s so you can restore them. This text is not a song save. Use .ommt projects for your music.
